How many is "all"? This surprises me as Merck vaccines are usually pretty smooth. Their adjuvant doesn't affect as many as other brands I've seen. If they're "all" affected, I'd say to have your vet report the lot number to Merck.

the exact reason I went to this 3 yrs ago. Injected in the pec and has a sore neck. Not sure if it can be injection related.

I did this shot a few years ago and 4 of 7 horses had a reaction to it. 3 of them had a golf ball size knot with heat and the forth had a lot of swelling and heat that lasted about 2/3 weeks. Now I give the 5 way in one shot and WNile in a shot of it's own on the other side of the neck. No more problems since. I'll never give them together again!

I was trying to post video/pictures but it won't load. Anyone who wants to see please pm and I'll send. It's horrible and very graphic.
Merck should be ashamed of selling this vaccine which is affecting so many horses.

I just vaccinated 10 horses with this about 3 weeks ago. Not a single one had a reaction. I vaccinated 3 last year and didn't have any problems then either.
