Location: Ellensburg, Washington | If you could buy a used truck, 2010-2017, under $30k, 100,000 miles or less, 4x4 and diesel, which is going to give you the most bang for your buck? Currently have a 99 Dodge 2500 with 180k which I love (beside the AC being broke) but looking for something newer. |

We paid 27K for my hubby's 2013 RAM (the newer truck are no longer Dodge as Fiat rebranded them as RAM) 3500 4x4 diesel with 67,000 miles in TN. |

I took it to the deal ship last year and asked the sales manager who sold me this truck what I would get for trade in and how much a comparable new truck would be. He told me that I am better off keeping what I have, as they are having so many problems with the new Dodges. I think I'll keep for a long while longer! |

Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | Ford. Because they are built on a frame all the way around. The others are built on partial frames.7.3 has some issues but nothing like the 6.0 but knowing the problem up front you can get it taken care of and not have any problems other than regular maintenance . The cabs are larger than chevy or dodge .the seating feels like a lazy boy compared to the dodge park bench. Diesels are like toyota trucks they have longevity so does the price tags. If your willing to look in other states you may come across one in your price range. |

I think of it this way, keeping it and fixing the a/c would probably save you about 30 thousand (plus) dollars. |

Not likely but I didn't want to say anything..
We gave that for my '08 Duramax dually, found Dodges that would meet the OP's specs but we aren't Dodge people.
Anymore I say, buy what your mechanic likes. At one point or another there a likelihood that you'll have an issue, you'll find someone who's had every issue in the book with a particular brand and says they won't buy another one. Have a good mechanic you trust. Ours is a neighbor/friend who likes Duramax's. He's worked on them for years, tuned them, taken them completly apart and put them back together. When we have issues, he's quick to diagnose and give recommendations for fixing, a lot of the time in our driveway with our help and not in the shop with shop labor. We value that, so we keep buying Duramax's. We've never had a major issue, just things that are considered regular maintenance - glow plugs and brakes mostly. The dually is under 100k still and the 3/4T is 170k that I drive 140mi/day right now. |

We have a 2008 F350 with 120000 miles and I was talking to Sean lately about "all those miles"---he's like are you nuts, that's nothing on a diesel!! Then I said the Tundra had 126000 (2007). . . . He shook his head---I think I have "new truckitis" y'all  |

I can totally understand that, lol. I want air conditioned seats, but not enough to pay over 50k for a new truck. If I could figure out a way to add that feature economically, I'd do it tomorrow!!
If I have to replace my truck, air conditioned seats will be on my list of must-haves. Plus, some of the new truck colors have turned my head. But, it's just too much money to give up every month. I like not having a truck note. |

I got a '15 loaded with 24K miles on it for about half of that. Still under warranty so it took away a little of that buying used stress.

lol....no doubt. My last truck had a plug for an engine heater. Needless to say it never got used. It seldom gets below freezing here, much less cold enough to need an engine heater. |

No way am I moving north, lol.
I always laughed every time we looked at trucks when heated seats became the big thing. We're in south Louisiana. Never did need that feature. Once they came out with a/c in the seats... now *that* I want!!. |
