should not this research have been done before the decision was made to "start trying them tonight"?

Location: Texas | My horses love alfalfa, oats & flax... they do NOT like the Omnis cubes!
I have tried multiple times to get my one horse to like them but he refuses. He will eat them if I hand feed them to him like a treat, or if my other horse is getting some he will want some. But put some in a bucket or pan and he will nibble on them for a little while before he will try to dump the bucket or go stand in the corner and refuse to go near them. He likes his alfalfa hay, but it has to be perfect... not too stemmy and not too many fines. It is not unusual for him to leave his excellent quality alfalfa hay to eat coastal bermuda hay from his slow feed net. He also isn't wild about alfalfa pellets. I think his not really liking cubes or pellets or the alfalfa hay fines has to do with how dry they are. Yes, I have tried soaking cubes but he doesn't like that either.
My other horse will eat the Omnis cubes if that is all he gets, but he is not wild about them. But given the choice he would rather have the alfalfa hay.
I really wanted them to like them because it would have made my life so much easier! |

Interesting.
I guess there are always outliers.
I fed 3.5-4 tons a month of them for almost a year. Probalby still would be if their supply chain management would have been better.
Never had one refuse. |

| My 3 love them. I feed individually in buckets as they are on pasture 24/7. I had to cut them back when the grass started. They only get 1/2 scoops at night now. |

That's a lot of feed! Are you in the breeding business? How many horses do you have? What do you do with all of them? |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I started feeding Omnis in November because the old horses could eat them without soaking. We were going on vacation in January and I wanted my feeding regimen to be as simple as possible. I'm still feeding them because they're easy and all the horses eat them well. Only drawback is I have to drive nearly 2 hours to buy them, so I buy a half ton at a time, which lasts me about 10 weeks for 5 horses. I feed them with stabilized rice bran as a grain replacement. |

No. Some get more, some less and I did go through more in mid-winter when there wasn't as much grass. Right now, I'm only feeding the pasture horses once a day because they have so much grass they don't care to come in in the evening. I also free choice coastal in slow feeders. Since I use the omnis and rice bran as a grain replacement, they only get what they need to hold their weight. |

| Even the old horse with 4 teeth gone eats them easily. However, I feed the Mustsng Sally cubes now because I am not riding them hard and they got fat on the Omni cubes. When I start riding hard or when grass gets burned up, I will start back on the Omnis. |

Mine love the cubes but I pour some aloe vera over the top....but it's great for them too so they are getting best of both!
ETA: they aren't crazy about the cubes without the aloe |

| I just thought I would add that 2 of my 3 love them. The 3rd (2yo) is coming around. He has yet to leave any in his feeder but took forever the first day to get it eaten. He has slowly began to eat it faster. They are getting 6# per day plus 1# of a pelleted fat additive. Mine are on very little grass (doesn't count as nutritional value) and free choice bermuda squares. I took before pictures. No one is thin or poor, I just wanted something healthier for them. I'm switching from a gawd awful amount of a cheap 12/8 pellet plus alfalfa pellets. |

Location: Arkansas | LOVE them!! My niece's gelding has allergies and she feeds him whole oats and Omnis Cubes only.. He is allergic to all grasses down in our area.. He ended up looking so good and putting on some much needed weight, that I put my horse on that exact same feeding program! Now, he is shiney and has put on weight and looks like a million bucks too!! If I could afford it, ALL of my horses would be on them.. |

God Lord I hope you don't teach math.
I had 15 head that was eating the cubes, at the recommended rate of consumption that was between 3.5-4 tons a month.
I can do the math for you if you need me to.
