Can anyone explain the difference between the wild child hackamore, Ed Wright hackamore, and Charmayne James hackamore? They all look so much alike....

Charmayne and The Wild Child are production Hacks. Ed Wright's are handmade by JD Morrow out of Weatherford TX.
The Wild Child Hack is for horses who need a bit more whoa. This hack lifts and flexes a horse easily but is very harsh when pulled back. If you are always "in your horses mouth" and always have a hold of their head, this is not the hack for you.
Ed Wright And Charmayne have different options for different horses. Did you have a specific hack in mind to compare from these two?
Keep in mind that rope placement on the nose will make the hacks work and function differently. Be sure when you use these that you are placing them correctly for the the appropriate action and reaction from your horse. (I am sure you already know this, I just feel compelled to remind is all. )
If you want, contact JD Morrow and talk with him about your horse and what problems you are having and what you want to accomplish. He can suggest the correct Hack to fix a problem or fit a horses riding style and if it doesn't work for you he can change them out for free. (He always gets it right the first time for me.) You can find him on facebook His cell number is posted. https://www.facebook.com/jdbits/about?lst=1826013889%3A1447893926%3A1494967417
