Depends on what the problem is. If your horse's stifles are catching, they'll need an internal blister. If he's sore in the joint itself the joint will need to be injected.
Usually if the horse's stifles have been carching he's created some inflammation in the joint itself so the joint will need injecting AND the patellar ligament will need an internal blister.

I might be wrong from what I've heard or been told......but if you blister you have to inject. I have been told blistering drys the joint out. Has anyone else heard this??????

Yes. If you are going to blister, do that first. When that is healed, then you will need to inject.
