Ok, so... I am going to give fly sheets another try this year. Last year's got destroyed in no TIME! What are the best for the money? I would love to find one that keeps the horses cool (if that is possible). Any suggestions on what to get and where would be greatly appreciate it

I found the AMIGO MIO seem to work the best. My broodmares are turned out 24/7 and they are destructive. Lasted from May till October. They have a neck cover on them that I like. I have not tried one on my paint--he is the ultimate test. It is not uncommon for them to last a few days on him and they are destroyed and beyond repair. Be sure that you remove them once a week to check for injuries, rubbing etc. Just a tip.

Thanks for posting.  I've been looking too.  I struggle with finding fly sheets that work but aren't too hot.  We live in humid east Texas and it's hard to find one that they don't just pour sweat in.

Also curious.  I'm in AZ so heat is a big factor for us.  I think I got the Amigo Mio and my horse destroyed it in no time.   But he was also an itchy mess so that's why.

Amigo bug buster. It is a light weight material and covers them really well. It doesn't get as hot as texas up here but we get near 100 with high high humidity and my horses are always comfortable under their bug busters.

I just ordered Kool coat Airstream sheets... so many choices and this one is not just a fly sheet but it suppose to keep them a bit cooler in the heat. We shall see how they work. I also went ahead and got Cashel leg fly wraps. I am praying is not a waste of money ( I had to buy four sets, so... here is one broke lady right now)

Kensington. The textile is very durable. My appy wore her fly sheet for several summers and it endured plenty of tree rubs.

I have one of those weatherbeeta stiffer netting ones and it works great because it is light weight. My gelding takes some decent care of his stuff but it wasn't expensive either. I think its the 3rd year. My gelding has terrible allergies to bugs so I actually have four. This one gets used most. I also have this lightweight defender one (super cheap $$) and also held up decent.
