My old barrel mare with is 25 I believed has relaped with her epm she has all the typical signs. I thought some severe arthritis had kicked but looking at her more I don't think so. She had epm severely about 8 years ago and has been fine up until now... I know how much marquis is but I didn't know if there was something else around that anyone has used. Thanks
Chances are that the horse has not relapsed after 8 years but perhaps has gotten reinfected. Baycox and Rebalance both wok quite well and both run around $300. prescription is necessary for both.
Rebalance is what I currently am treating with. My vet was originally going to have the sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine compounded but it was $180 for 30 day. The Rebalance is approximately $90-$100 but is only 23 day supply. It still comes out cheaper at around $300 for 90 day treatment vs $540 for compound. You will still need a script

Protazil pellets is what vet prescribed for my mare.
I don't think there are any cheap epm drugs out there.
I personally went with what my vet suggested.
Best of luck with your pony.
Epm is heart breaking that's for sure.
