We've heard it countless times. But it's such good news for us, that it bears repeating , lingering over again. It's the synopsis of God's love story us. The Bible is the epic story of Lve that we scorned , which earned us ****ation. Then because God wanted to spare us that horror. he created the legacy of grace through His Son, Jesus. Now all who accept His gift can enjoy unbroken relationship with Him.
So the Old Testament age of wrath is over. Where does justice fit in now? It's still there, which is either wonderful or awful depending on whether a persons heart is for or against Jesus. Because God is utterly holy, there's no overstating how much. He disposes ours in nature; that's the worst news we'll ever hear. But there's all no overstating how much He adores His grace. BEST NEWS! Even during the era of wrath before Jesus came. God showed His gracious character to us. It's all there in Exodus 20:5-6. Even though we suffer the effects of our ancestors' sins for a few generations. He thrills to show love to a thousand generations.
God must be just. Even so, He shows a strong preference for grace. Amazing grace, how sweet that sounds!
For it is with God all things are possible.
