Location: Nebraska | I had two mares that did everything according to textbook and neither one of them took, ugh. The vet said that she's seen a lot of it this year. Anybody else having troubles? |

| Yes, but mine is because the place where the stallion stands is shipping blanks. Of course, it is NOT their fault. |

Location: Texas | this year hasn't been the best for me either, but its on the mare side.
one mare we bred one time and she took, has a heart beat, so yay.
The second mare we bred, she got post breeding inflammation/fluid and despite lavaging and oxytocin she was not pregnant at day 15.. so, we cultured, cleaned her out, short cycled, tried again... she got fluid again post breeding and we repeated the same procedures... she will get checked next week.
Third mare just wouldn't cycle for a while, she's old.. started Pergolide.. started cycling.. bred her and will check her next week.
Fourth mare, just checked her for the first time this year after foaling and I'm debating on whether to breed her late or wait until next year. |
