Fear of God and fear nothing else. Failing to fear God will lead us to fear everything else in life.
Webster Dictionary describes fear as anxiety, to be afraid, ( this is in the world, but in reverence to God, fear, is to be in awe.
The fear the Pslamist called us to is not paralyzingly fear that the world knows, but a type of fear that is a healthy respect for the majesty of God. When our lives are characterized by this type of fear, we find ourselves being freed from all other fears. Psalm 112:7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings. Living life with a proper fear (respect, awe) of God releases us from unhealthy , debilitating fears that hold us captive in this world. But how is this type of God honoring fear cultivated? V 1 PRAISE THE LORD! Blessed IS the man who fears The Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.
Verse 1 in Psalm 112 teaches us that worship and the Word will develop a healthy fear, respect, of God. These commands are a blueprint for spiritual freedom. As you praise God for His past goodness in your life, your reverence for Him grows. For it is with God all things are possible. Have a VERY BLESSED Thursday ALL!

Why would you want to be afraid of your God? That is not what Jesus taught. God is not going to order you thrown into the volcano, only people do things like that. God should catch you, not be feared.
No one can really rule by fear alone, in the end people will wake up and stop being fooled. Don't make your God someone you wouldn't normally love.
