I just bought a mare that has some issues. She was fine when I tried her, but has been a nut at the jack pots since then. Seller says she doesn't act like that. I don't believe that. I think they made her hate her job. I need to either fix her or sell her as a brood mare. She is extremely talented, a real athlete! I thought about fluphenazine to get past the rough patch. Any advice?

What is she doing? First check for ulcers and bleeding. If they are ruled out then try the meds. You might be better off with Propanolol if its a mild issue.

I have one like what you are describing......I have learned a few tricks with her "no drugs" and we are much happy.....I personally don't like the risk of using Fluphenazine..
The only supplement I use is a product called Allay
With the side effects it could have, I would only try it as a last ditch, no other option left. I'd try ace or sedivet first and work my way up the list.
