| Hopefully I can figure out how to attach pictures. This mare was originally checked open at 21 days... she got a bit fluffy over the winter so we took her to our vet in January .... I am so glad she was cooking this little cutie for us! This was our first venture into having a foal at our place

Edit: to ask for name suggestions (both registered and barn name, please!) He is a little terror with a huge ego! His mom has already had to reprimand him several times in his short little life so far. He is all over the place and likes to talk to all the other horses he can see which really sets his mom off right now. We are a little over two weeks in and the monster still doesn't have a name (bottom picture at 2 weeks), any suggestions? Thanks!

why?
Why not? Look at all that stud has done so far... His babies are in the hands of some of the best right now and he has foals on the ground by some phenomenal mares... Not to mention several BIG producers.... Like why wouldnt it be a blessing? |

| Thank you for all the name suggestions so far! You guys are great! We will try to decide on something soon and will be sure to update!
He may end up with the barn name Wheels... but the jury is still out on that :) |

| Slick By Design owners have a post on FB they are looking for weanings and yearlings by Slick to buy ... said they had sold all of theirs.
Probably for resale in some future catalogue sale or they have a backlog of buyers??
Might be fun to see what kind of money they would offer for your baby and include another breeding to Slick as a bonus ... lol
BTW.. nice straight baby ... this is what a 15.3hh baby looks like ..
all legs... cannon bones will grow very little .. the forearm and body bulk is what grows to gain height ..
GOOD LUCK ...

I think I saw their post, I thought about sharing this foal. We hadn't planned on selling but of course one never knows :)
So far I am very pleased with him. He is very confident and curious which has gotten him into a bit of trouble but so far seems to take his reminders on manners fairly well and learns quickly.
Our mare is pretty good sized standing about 15.3, I would be really happy if this colt hit mid 15s +! :) |
