Location: Idaho | So, I am getting married!! So anxious and excited :)
We are on a budget for the wedding so I would love to see some of your "make your own" idea's for decorations and personalization's. I'm trying to put together something beach themed(We both love the beach) but also some Disney touches (I love Disney).
I have seen some idea's on pinterest with using painted or decorated Mason jars for center pieces with flowers. I also saw one with one filled with water and has a floating candle in it, with some cute decorations on it.
Would love to see your ideas! It will be a small but sweet wedding. :) |

| It's not really beach themed, but we did painted pallets with the schedule and a cute phrase implying "seat yourself". I made our center pieces out of our old ropes and we found most of the flowers at a garage sale - plus now I get to sell them.
Facebook has wedding item sale groups. We had to search a bit to find an affordable photographer, but we did eventually. We had some friends make the meal and family pitched in to make sure it was r day to go when we were ready to eat. |

| We used blue mason jars with flowers for the centerpieces. We had a pretty big wedding (250ish guests), so to keep the cost down, we ordered flowers online and my mom's friend arranged all of the centerpieces. Ended up saving us about $2500 on flowers. We also made our own invitations and programs. I ordered all of the supplies on Amazon and printed everything at Office Depot. Pinterest came out right after my wedding, which is probably a good thing, but I feel like we had a pretty awesome wedding for a reasonable price considering how many guests we had! |

| Congrats! My advice would be go to the beach and get married there, its already decorated. Or just to the courthouse and then go to the beach after. :) |

Location: "...way down south in the Everglades..." | Congrats!! I didn't do a beach theme...but I can tell you the things that saved tons of money. Did our own flower arrangements by ordering bulk at fiftyflowers.com. Dollar store jars for centerpiece vases and other decor. Wholesale linens for table cloths (was cheaper to buy then rent amazingly) Also, used Sams Club (you could do Costco or BJ's) for the nicer disposable plates and utensils. We had around 70 people and it was much, much more affordable so we focused our finances on good food and a good venue. Also, I was crazy enough (and it worked) to order my dress online from china lol. |

Location: Idaho | Thank you so much everyone!!! :)
Thank you guys for your ideas. Getting married on the beach was my first idea, but unfortunately prices were a bit expensive and the place we are looking at is in Florida, and comes with an all inclusive package that we could not pass up. All silverware utensils, dishes, glasses, linen, wine flutes, cake, reception, wedding, officiator, wedding planner, food etc. is all included. The only thing we really have to pay for for the actually wedding/reception is the DJ, Photographer, flowers and the decorations/personalization's!
I didn't think about ordering flowers online, we might have to do that! I figured we could do the mason jars from the dollar stores, I thought about doing something with seashells and starfish inside of the mason jar, I would have to check prices!
Also has anyone ever bought from David's bridal? I was going to look there but I was told they are very pushy! |

Before you buy mason jars - ask around to see if you can borrow any! I borrowed all of my blue ones from a lady that my aunt goes to church with.
I didn't buy my dress from David's Bridal, but I did try some on there. I had picked out some styles online that I liked and they ended up not having any of them in stock. The sales lady was very pushy when I tried one on that I thought was pretty. They called me for weeks asking when I would come back in to purchase. They may not all be like that, but I wasn't impressed. |

This!!!! My cousin just got married on the beach. Very very simple but still pretty. They had a arbor/arch thingy... idk what they're called and a battery operated cd played that was it. No chairs or anything. So simple but so pretty. Don't pay for a beach spot. Go to a public one. That's what they did. Of corse you have to worry about people but they were all very respectable and no one came near during wedding time.

Location: North Dakota | I got married in a small town .... way cheaper for venue and food. (And it was my hometown anyway.)
We did all our own decorating instead of hiring someone. To save money, I decided to do real flowers but ONLY for the bouquets for myself and bridesmaid, and boutonnieres for the guys. Our local flower shop was very reasonable, and since I was so busy with decorating, it was nice to just have them do it.
I searched bulk website for vases, glass beads, and such. And table cloths and chair covers.
Then when the wedding was done, I sold pretty much everything that I had bought for decorations.
CONGRATS! Enjoy the day. |

Agreed LOL. My wedding is 3 1/2 months away and let me tell you, wedding planning is horrible and expensive and makes people very annoying to deal with. I wish I had eloped. Make it as easy on yourself as possible. |

| I just got married 2-1/2 weeks ago. I did not have a beach theme, so I cant really help you there. But I did do teal, gold and silver. We got married at the courthouse, but had a wedding reception at a private club that had a "party room" and was cheap to rent. We had approx 200 people. We did buy all of our table clothes, because they were cheaper than renting. (can sell them after and make some money back) We did all the decorations on our own. The place we rented was sort of like an elks or moose, so they have ugly photos all over the walls. We covered the walls up with teal plastic table cloth and bunched the silver and gold over top of it. We bought them from the dollar store and it ended up costing us about $30. I do not know how to post pictures but I can send before and after photos to you if you would like to see them. It was actually really beautiful and everyone loved it. I had friends collect wine bottles for me, and got them off craigslist and rummage site for free. Painted them and then added glitter. I also bought curly things for your tree after Christmas when they all went on sale, and skipped flowers! That saved a ton of money, and also got complements on that! They do still have them at hobby lobby now jsut a bit more expensive. I also made my bouquet. I wish i could post photos :( |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Goodwill. Mason jars are like 50 cents a piece at ours. You can also get old wine bottles from there and wrap them in twine or jute. Get fake flowers from HObby Lobby and a little garland for the arch if you use one.
We spent under $100 on decorations. We spent our money on food. Hooked up our phone with a playlist from Spotify for music and had everyone byob if they wanted. If not we made tea and lemonade and had water available as well. We spent under $1300 for the venue, chairs, tables, food, the whole nine yards. |
