The only time that I have been to Waco without my big trailer it seemed like there weren't any hotels extremely close. I think we had to drive several miles to go to the room. It's been 5 or 6 years since I made that little adventure so I can't remember the name of the hotel, but it was a host hotel for whatever race was there. We will be there in July for the Elite, but thankfully will get to stay on the grounds.

I stayed at one on Hwy 84, just west of Highway 6 before. It wasn't a bad drive to and from Extraco Center. And I passed Whataburger on the way in the mornings and got to enjoy a taquito for breakfast. You'll be traveling through town to eat and there are several good choices in that area.

We live just 30 mins south of Waco. Unfortunately, there isn't any hotels super close to the events center. All of them are situated on hwy 84 or I35 (which is further).
