I am starting to look at purchasing my first LQ trailer and really want a full back tack. I am primarily looking at platinum and elite. There doesn't seem to be much of a price difference between a side or a reverse load. Trying to determine the pros and cons of each. Do horses really ride better in a reverse? Has anyone had difficulty having horses load in a side load? The doorway seems narrower in a side with a harder angle I worry about my horses going in. Any thoughts or opinions?

We have a side load and we LOVE it!! You get the back tack but not all the extra length from the reverse. We have had our trailer since march and have only had one horse have an issue loading. He's my special child and by the 3rd or 4th time he was over it. I also haul a good many cow horses back and forth to my brother- most of them have never even been on a horse trailer, only a stock trailer, and they all get right on. Good luck shopping!

The biggest thing is the LQ layout. In a rear side load (PC load) you still have the streetside as your short wall in the LQ. Most LQ doors are on the curbside due to all the waste dumping pump connectors being on the streetside. In a reverse load your short wall is the curb side and it sometimes makes the LQ feel smaller.
