Location: SW MO | I want to start entering some ACRA/IPRA rodeos in the up coming weeks. Any tips about call in? I won't be buying my card or permit this late in the season, I will be entering as a local. TIA |

| Pay attention to call in times - there may be designated times for non-cardholders.
Grab a beer. If your significant other loves you they'll help. Keep trying.
Some of our local producers have gone to online entries using google docs. It is A-MAZING. I entered 3 rodeos this morning in like 6 minutes. |

Location: Oklahoma | Most of the good ones are CES. As a rule of thumb, if it is over $1k added call in will be the Wed of the week before for the call in.
Don't expect to get a perf if you are entering as a local. CRRA and I think ACRA first rodeo rules state a card holder can bump a local out of the perf.
If it is not a CES (800.639.9002) number to call in expect to spend some time (hours) getting a busy signal. LOL
Also draws will be posted on rodeosportsnetwork.com or acrarodeo.com.
I would join the ACRA Barrel Racers and IPRA Barrel Racers page on FB. Those are the fastest ways to see results.
Enter what pens fit your horse. I always ask if I don't know a pen. My horse is not a fan of hard ground and will not work on it. So I opted out of a rodeo yesterday due to it being like concrete. :) (Muldrow is next week and always a good rodeo with good ground.)

Location: SW MO | Erie KS? I'm glad I didn't enter that one.
Most of the upcoming rodeos that I would like to enter are CES- but I think that I may need to be a member in order to enter online? |

Yes to enter online you have to be a member of one of the associations. They will give you login info through CES after you memberup.
Erie was a mess from what I heard. Also Aurora is still open through today if you want to go to that one...
Not sure if we are friends on FB, but you are welcome to message/friend me and I will help you if I can Brandy Sams.. |

Some of our locals have started doing text entries, sooooo easy. |

Honestly google docs is so easy to set up a form for and then it all pulls over line by line with a time stamp as they come in. We had a new rodeo company start up and start doing them (a lot of the jackpots had already gone that direction) and thankfully the bigger rodeo company with most of the rodeos up here got on board. i guess they've talked about going CES every year but no one has really wanted to pony up the money? This is a great free alternative. |

Have fun! I bet I live near you (for now) but I don't have an ACRA or IPRA card because I go north mostly to URA & IRA rodeos. when I have to enter a rodeo sports network rodeo, I do it online. I've heard horror stories about the treatment my friends have gotten when calling in as a local so I'd like to avoid dealing with them. LOL.
call me crazy but I kind of like fighting the phones to call in and talk to the rodeo secretary. It makes things a lot easier if you need slack or need perf somewhere. I will be begging for perf at a couple rodeos in the upcoming weeks because they're almost hometown rodeos for me and I think it's good for the crowd if someone from around there is in the perf. *Plus my gray horse LOVES a crowd cheering for him LOL. |

See you at Indianola? :) We are planning on hitting Afton, Indianola and then going way out west for Osceola, Neb., on Thursday. I thought about Greenfield but didn't want to drive all that way on a Sunday for one rodeo, and the forecast looks good for our NBHA district race 30 minutes from Matt's house. LOL. |
