Freak accident, but my mare got kicked square in the forehead and ended up with a fractured frontal bone. I've never had anything like this happen before so I was wondering how long does an injury like this take to stabilize enough to start riding. It was a very simple break and doesn't interfere with breathing and the bloody discharge has stopped. 2 vets tell me she'll heal rather quickly and I respect their advice. I was just curious if anyone has had experience with this. Thanks.

I would suspect bone is bone and it takes 6 weeks for bone to remodel and heal itself. I would guess about the same time?
