My horse is allergic to something. His throat latch area is broke out with lumps. The vet has given two IM injections that last 4-5 days and it only minimally helps. I am thinking about putting him on Platinum or Silver Lining #24 and #27. I am wondering if anyone has tried these products and if so, what were the results.

Immune support and liver support/detox is where I would start. I have not used silver lining herbs but I have a friend who uses the immune from them religiously while hauling and absolutely loves it. I'm not sure which products those numbers correspond to but if it's the immune and liver at silver lining that is the perfect place to start!

Yes. 24 and 27 are the immune an liver support. Thanks for commenting. There are so many products out there. I'd rather "support" than "medicate" if I can.

Skin allergy I have heard and seen great results with Cur-ost.
Same here. Both my horses are on the total support. They both had some allergy issues from various things. Plus you haul to new places and barrel races and who knows what will affect your horse. Total support just takes care of it so I don't have to worry about it. It's not cheap but it's cheaper than a vet visit.

Ditto and I would simplify the feed program-not that the feed is causing it-but if you are feeding something with fillers or ingredients that his body is having to "deal" with -hard time processing or putting junk in his system-then that is less effort put towards his immune system fighting this allergy.

Silver Lining Herbs are amazing. I can honesty say that I've seen real results when using them. I just talked to Chance at SLH about a few of my horses. He says Kidney Support is their best seller by far (for various issues). However, for your situation, Liver & Immune is exactly where I'd start. They recommend Liver Support for any allergies and detox. Stay with the program for the full 60 days. You won't be disappointed.
