For stall or run.  What brand do you have or brand to stay away from?

Current barn has these and I like that they're deeper.  But I feel like the metal ones stay cooler (when in the shade).

I have the classic equine by ritchie ultrafounts and LOVE them.   I have two that split 4 runs/dry lot pens and they are amazing.  Perfect in winter, no water to break, and easy to clean.  I would definitly get them again.

We have 4 mira-fount (sp?) and love them.  All of ours are the two hole and each splits a pen/lot.  You can put the ball down or leave it up

We have mirafounts as well and love them. Easy to clean, ours split pastures and get used by horses and cattle.

I have Mira-Fount as well in my barn. They have been there since we built it in 2006!

We installed Mira-Founts in 1996.  They have been pretty trouble free.  Once a year or so, a float will slip sideways, but other than that they have been great.  Still look nice too.  A bit big for a stall tho.

Outdoor ones, we installed 2 Bar Bar A's last fall and 1 double ultra fount by Riche. The Bar Bar A's were the best purchase ever. No electricity and no heat tapes. Best money spent. Guess what, they work better than the Ritche. Water drains out so it is never warm and the bowl doesn't get scum on it. Oddly the horses all learned easy, even the foals.
