Does anyone ever give their horse banamine while already on Previcox? Just for a horse that's not used to being stalled for a 3/4 day show? If so how much banamine do you give?
Pretty sure you aren't supposed to give any Bute/Banamine NSAIDS while on Previcox. I know mine clearly stated Bute OR Previcox on my son's horse with bad hocks.
don't double up on nsaids. It's hard on their stomach and potentially damaging to kidneys. Either give one or the other. I give previcox for joints and banamine for soft tissue. But never together.

If you need both NSAIDS to keep your horse comfortable while being hauled, I wouldn't be running that horse at all. I would be going to a vet and figuring out how to take him off of the drugs and keep him sound.
I have my 25 yr old retired barrel horse on Equioxx (horse version of Previcox) everyday. He got a bad case of hives one day and my vet said it was ok to give Banamine and Dex together. I just would not use Previcox and Banamine all the time together.
