| Any other brands out there? I love the flair but in this humidity they do not stick. The ones that stick at first are more than falling off after I warm my horse up to run! Thought there might be other brands/options. Thanks! |

Location: Oklahoma | I am in Oklahoma and haven't had any trouble with mine sticking I don't even wipe the nose off before I put on like the instructions says to. And I have found an adhesive that works and I can use mine over a few times even a week apart! and the adhesive doesn't pull the hair off my horse but does stick the nasal strip to nose real well. It is from atwoods and they have like 4 different stickiness to them I got the strong one It has a man with a show steer on it in an aerosol can maybe try that. I cant believe it works so I get more use out of my strips than one time! |

I found this stuff and I am going to order some. :) Is it hard to get the strip off? Do you need to get the adhesive remover, too? I love my flair strips but have a hard time getting them to stick, too. |

| Yes advice on getting the Flair strips to stick I have wasted 3 the last 2 times I have ran and those suckers are too expensive to keep wasting. The first 2 I blamed on being in the trailer and getting too hot the next one I kept in the house then in a cool place and put it on after I warmed up wiped nose off clean and applied walked to the arena and it fell off! GRRRRRRRRR |

Location: North Dakota | Try putting on some Tincture of Benzoin before applying the strip. https://www.amazon.com/Compound-Benzoin-Tincture-U-S-P-Swabsticks/dp/B002GXAZO0/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501525979&sr=8-2&keywords=tincture+of+benzoin
...Truthfully I have not tried it on a horse, but this is what we use to get bandages to stick better on human skin. Should work fine if you are having trouble getting the nasal strips to stick. |

Location: Oklahoma | I use Elmer's spray adhesive . I clean the nosefirst w baby wipes first . I paint my white strips in cool designs myself. I use each strip 3/4 x's. Worked for me over a year now. If sticks too well, which it can, before removing wet it. It will dry out to reuse .I keep them in ziplock bags . Put coconut oil on the nose if lose hair after. |

Not hard at all and does stick and comes off easy pulls no hair. I didn't know bout the adhesive remover. I just have the spray and you spay and wait a min and you can feel the edge when it gets tacky when I put on. Like I say I don't wipe the nose or anything. and on the nose after I pull the strip off there is no sticky residue on nose. The reason I use flair strips is bc on my horse you can hear him blow. I thought it was bc they feel goo and just making the noise themselves but the vet I work for said no that his nostrils is weak and that I needed the strips to hold his nostrils so he can get all the air he needs so I know that the adhesive is stout enough bc I don't hear him blow. Hope this makes sense the spray was like 7-8 at atwoods I will see if I can find the exact name of it for you. Im not at home and cant do pics |

Here's my question: Why can't you just use tape to hold open the nostrils?
The Flair strips have flexible "stays" in them that go across the nose. They flex over the bridge of the nose and the nostril and are held to the skin by the adhesive. These "stays" want to be flat though, so they "pick up" the nostril and hold it open. Sorry that's not a great explanation, but hopefully it helps! |
