Pretty hard to go wrong with Dash For Cash or First Down Dash on SE mares.

If you can't afford FDD semen, look at the DFC influence in barrel sires. I'm biased :-) but Dash For Perks sons are good barrel sires, good minded and available. There are lots of good FDD sons out there and if you stay away from the hot-headed bottom sides, they are excellent too.

If you think about SE/DFC and what each horse looked like, it's easy to see why it was such a phenomenal cross. That "magic cross" wasn't just a matter of the studs standing near each other as so many are. They really complimented each other. Special Efforts are classy, pretty, smooth-built horses. DFC brings some substance. Both are extremely powerful horses and obviously really fast.

I raised a SE son out of a DFC mare and he was the coolest minded colt ever. We never halter broke him. Just put on a halter and walked off . . .and into the horse trailer one day.

I was thinking the same thing.  Along the lines of a DTF son.  I would like more turn and a nicer shoulder, but lets not get picky here haha.  My mare is a granddaughter of SE and BA75.  She is very very sensitive which can go wrong in the wrong hands,  She has a fantastic work ethic and very smart.  She does tend to worry but still exudes confidence.  I wasn't sure if a FWF would work well on her or not?  What about FG?  She is a big mare, huge butt so lets keep that in the family hahaha!

FG has always crossed well with Hot Colors mares.  What is your mares pedigree?

Agree, SE crossed on Dash For Cash (I run a Cash Treat dtr who is a full brother to Mr Eye Opener) and it's an amazing cross! Anything DFC or FDD I don't think you can go wrong. We also bred to Famous Lane and that was a 1D cross as well on the SE mares

Wow, love that pedigree!

My TB stud could help you with that shoulder . . . but probably not the turn.

FWOTR is an option too . . . I adore my broodmare by him. He'd add turn to anything I would guess. And I don't think you'll lose size.

FG's are sure pretty and turny, but I have less experience there.

DTF sons might be a good option - still the DFC but lots of turn. Just pick one with a calm bottom side. ;-) Both DTF and FDD were so good minded they got to breed a lot of hot headed mares.
