^^ This. The rabbit alfalfa pellets we fed our meat rabbits had other things in it like grain, salt, and vitamins and minerals. I'm sure it depends on the brand but in my experience it isn't usually straight alfalfa.

I don't know the answer however back in the 70's I feed my barrel horse steam crimped oats and rabbit pellets. He lived to be 34 so I guess they didn't hurt him.

but that was in the 70s..lol nowadays no telling what minerals or added stuff is in them.. id look at ingredients and research it..
