I bought a used trailer last year but it looks brand new and I would like to get insurance on it. Do you you insure them as if they are an RV or as a horse trailer?

Ours is insured under our vehicle policy because normally you get a "multi-vehicle" discount. Even though it has a living quarters, it's insured as a horse trailer, not RV. I would talk to your current vehicle insurance agent and go from there.

Ours in on our auto policy through State Farm along with our other vehicles. Mine doesn't have LQ and is very affordable for full coverage. I do recall when I was getting the policy set up they asked me if it had LQ, and I think their system would have set it up like an RV/camper. I could be mistaken though!

I have it thru St Farm and it is set up as a travel trailer. I have water damage on the floor of my LQ requiring everything to be ripped out. St Farm is covering the cost minus my $500 deductible. I am taking the opportunity to put a different floor plan in :).
