If anyone comes to the gulf coast area of Texas (yes, I know we almost just washed away..) I have pasture, no barn.. sorry.. and two full size beds. We will certainly provide a safe haven to you and your animals.

I just want to offer my prayers to everyone down there!

While I am not in Texas or Florida, we are dealing with our own set of issues at this side of the country with the wildfires. The smoke is so thick you can't even see a couple miles in front of you. It's terrible. Makes me ready for winter!

Prayers for your part of the country, too. These fires have been so scary. A couple people I follow on Instagram have had to leave their homes, it I said crazy scary to me.

Prayers for your area also, doesn't matter what mother nature throws at us, we love each other and want safety for everybody.

We're in very SE corner of AR, can make accommodations for animals and people if needed. Have 4 horse LQ for staying in or hauling horses if needed. Y'all please keep us posted if you can. . . .

We have always sit out Hurricanes too, but Irma is a whole different one and most powerful hurricane making history, I dont think I would be risking siting this one out if I were in her path I would be thinking hard on this especially if you have children, not worth the risk. Stay safe Vickie, will be waiting on updates from you..

I live in North Louisiana just short of the Arkansas line, Minden La, 5 minutes off I-20. We are 2 hours 50 min west of Jackson. We have stalls, pasture, a hookup, turnouts, bedrooms, 2 arenas to ride in, entertainment, good food, and premium hospitality. Our place is clean, and orderly. Our horses are healthy, fully vetted, and happy.

For those who have more than they can haul I'm sure a train to get them moved to safety can be arranged. Our heads are bowed, and our hearts are with you.

Looks like now we will be spared for the most part.  If anyone needs a place to stay, we are in Eastern N.C.  Pastures and trailer parking;
we'll offer whatever we have available.  Stay safe.

My husbands bio-mom was leaving but her flight got cancelled. I'm not sure how prepared they are. My mother has a house in central Florida that is going to get hit, but she is still in Texas dealing with the damage to primary house. The entire roof needs to be replaced.

Thought I would bump this up. I have family in Florida- West Palm Beach, Tampa and Jacksonville. None of them evacuated. A friend of my cousin went down to get his mom and the return trip should have been 14 hours, but it took them 35 hours with a 5 hour sleep break. Sending prayers to everyone in Florida.
