| I was 16 years old. I remember sitting in the hallway at school waiting for the bell to ring. One of my friends came in and was just sick. He told us that we were probably going to war and would be drafted as soon as we graduated. He was a year older than me. We went to our first period computer class when our teacher had the TV on. There we watched the second plane hit the WTC. I remember how confused we all were. Why would someone do this? It has changed our lives and perspectives forever. The blessing that resulted though was how the entire country came together as One Nation Under GOD. God bless America, we sure do need it. |

| I was 14, in history class in high school. My mom worked there and I remember going to her for comfort and my history teacher telling all of us kids to remember this day because it would go down in history. Sad, sad day. Prayers to the families. |

| Getting ready to go to work. Turned on the TV and couldn't believe my eyes. It was surreal. I remember my mother telling me how when Pearl Harbor was attacked fear totally gripped the whole nation. I think our nation realized that same fear on 9/11. |

|
| Thank you for setting aside this time to pay tribute to those whose lives were lost on this day 16 years ago. May we never forget the price that freedom costs! Lots of heroes that day lost there lives helping others. I pray for each family that still deals with those losses. May we all come together as we did right after 9/11 and lift America up instead of trying to tear it down from the inside! |

|
| We will never forget that day. We will never forget those who are still fighting the war on terror. |

|
| The plane coming in at the Pentagon was less than 500 feet up going over 500 mph and was less than a block away, which means it was right overhead. Maybe the scariest moment in my life. |

| A cousin had a job interview at 9:00 at the World Trade Center. Coming in on the train, he accidentally got off two blocks too soon. As he was hurriedly walking to the World Trade Center when the first place hit. He left! God is good. |

| Thank you for using this platform to keep this tragic event that forever changed our country in the forefront of our hearts and minds and for recognizing all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice both civilian and military. Many civilian hero's gave the ultimate sacrifice on this day 16 years ago running into collapsing buildings that were on fire to save as many souls as they could. Others gave their lives on a plane to ensure no other lives on the ground were lost. And, thousands enlisted voluntarily to ensure that evil would no longer find it’s way to our shores and many of those brave men and women would never return to their families. Say a prayer for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice, for our country and for the brave men and women putting themselves in danger each and everyday to ensure our freedoms and safety. God Bless America. |

| I was with my son when I learned about the terror attacks on 9/11. He was so young and tender at 9 years of age. But even then I saw a determination in him I will never forget. Fast forward to 2017 as he prepares to go to Afghanistan in the never ending war on terror. He is STS Special Operations Forces bad to the bone kind of soldier but in my heart still that tender 9 year old boy. Jake said to me recently how we will never be able to relax on terror and that this war will continue at least through our life times ...and that we will never go back to the pre 9/11 days. It is a sobering thought but probably the truth. So the very least I can do is remember the fallen and those who are serving..not just my son but each and every person who sacrifices for their country. Thank you everyone for participating in our 9/11 tribute. I copy all these messages and send them directly to our troops. They appreciate it very much. Gail - BHW - |

| This is such an awesome thing to do and I wish more companies would follow suit. I think that with the time that has passed, we are starting to see a generation that were small children, or not yet born, when our country was attacked and do not realize/feel the impact. It is our job to remind that generation and future generations of our History, where we have been as a country, what we have overcome so that we can have a clear path to where we want to be. You have to know history to ensure that it does not repeat itself. We need to keep this, and many things, in the forefront. I pray for, and are grateful to, those individuals that sacrifice so much to protect this country. I pray for all those lost and affected personally by 9/11. I pray for our country, military, police, first responders, elected officials and their families and loved ones. God Bless. |

| Thank you for the moment of silence. I will never forget. Where I was, the immense amount of confusion and the haunting emotions I had never felt at such a young age(12).
I will never forget out military and all of their sacrifices. To those who lost loved ones that day. I will always remember the speech by Bush that day. "Terrorist attacks can shake the foundation of our biggest buildings but they cannot touch the foundation of America."
God Bless USA |

Location: North Dakota | I was 10 at the time, sitting in my 5th grade classroom. I remember the moment clearly when my teacher got a phone call and they rushed to turn on the TV. I remember it being turned on moments before the second tower was hit and my 5th grade teacher yelling "No" as the plane hit the second tower. I also remember being very confused as I had no idea what the World Trade Centers even were, it was an odd day that day at school... My parents were so shook that night and I just couldn't understand what was going on. I have tried to educate myself as I have gotten older... no one seems to even be talking about it anymore. A few years ago I would see more "tributes" on FB to the fallen but today it was sparse.
I will never forget. |
