So I posted a while ago about what was fair when loaning a horse and about what happened with that! Anyhow I started running my mare myself a month ago we had a some good runs some not so good runs getting back in sync . Well this past weekend we went to a 3 day race finals for an association here. The first night on a full standard pattern she went 17.3 which qualified us to run in the shootout the next night. I ran a 17.5 the next go and a 17.1 in the shoot out. I had one not so great run the last day but I missed first and then she stepped on herself at second so we were and 18.2 doesn't even matter she was amazing all weekend. So here is a picture of us on our 17.3 run and yes my butt is out of the saddle she drops and throws so much power at you for a 14.2 hand speed demon! I was so excited

Good for you! Love the picture of both you and the mare
I was worried she wouldn't run well the 2nd day because she was outside the arena yawning and eyes closed nearly asleep. I thought for sure we were going to be slow. She showed me!

Thanks everyone she means so much to me it has been a rough couple of years and she has kept me semi sane through it! I keep having people try to buy and I keep walking away, it may be stupid but for now she is my horse and I love her too much to let her go.

Not stupid at all, I don't think a little more money in your pocket will bring you the same kind of happiness she does. I have a friend who has routinely turned down 60k for a mare she paid 1k for, they are comfortable financially but by no means wealthy. She loves that horse and knows it would take every bit of 60K if not more to replace her.
