With God all things are possible

| When it comes to your relationship with God, what do you need the most? What is it that you need above everything else as you approach God? The answer is " MERCY". God's grace (favor) and mercy are companions. You cannot experience the grace of God without mercy, and you cannot experience the mercy of God without grace. Mercy is God giving to us what we do not deserve. We NEED mercy. It is at the heart of Christian faith.
Mercy is a word Christians use a lot. We use in in our prayers. We use it in the songs that we sing. We've become so familiar with the word that I wonder if we totally understand it and if we have become desensitized to the impact God's mercy has on our lives.
Twenty- seven Pslams focus on mercy and our need for it. Mercy is something we need EVERY time we sin. And it is something we need everyday of our lives. Thankfully, God's mercy has NO limit.
When we sin, we can cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness.
Psal. 86:3,5 Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I cry to Yôu all the day long. For Yôu, Lord, ARE good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to ALL those who call upon Yôu. Sin breaks our fellowship with a Holy God, so we must confess our sin and receive God' mercy for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9. Each time we do this, God extends His mercy to us. He washes us clean and completely removes any record of wrong. When we confess our sins, we cannot just ask for forgiveness, we must CHANGE the ACTION behind the sin. If you continue to do the SAME sin, just asking for the forgiveness is void, because an action has to back up the asking......STOP, change direction, when you have ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, then you not only have " changed life" you have " EXCHANGED life."
God's mercy is guaranteed to those who call out to Him. V 7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon you, for You will answer me. The truth is, there is very little guaranteed in the world in which we live. How refreshing that David gave us a glimpses of the character of God when he said, " I will call upon Yôu, for Yôu will answer me." There is NO doubt in his mind that God would extend help, strength, assurance, forgiveness, or whatever he needed. This should DRIVE us to our knees in worship of our great God who does wounderous things. V 10 For You ARE GREAT, and do wounderous things, Yôu ALONE ARE God. For it is with God all things are possible
