I need to know why you are using a respiratory supplement and what results you saw.

CurOst total support, gelding diagnosed last year with COPD, told no coastal and no pasture.   He has been on CurOst since the spring, grazing 24/7- no cough, no runny nose.   I still do not give him coastal when stalled, he gets baled  alfalfa, timothy pellets.

I have tried both! Love Curost. foreresp. works just as well and more affordable. My horse has extreme allergies and COPD. there has been 2 different summers I been on the sidelines because horse was sick from allergies. You cannot go wrong with either one. Yes I am a dealer for forefront but I became one bc it worked so well and I plan on keeping my horse on it. He has done really well on it. Feels good and recovers fast and I can ride him longer and harder. Now I have to figure out his other issues lol. Every horse is different. I don't think the Foreresp. will help every horse but worth the try and same with Curost it hasn't helped every horse. Just gotta find what works for your horses. I tried many other things and these are the two that worked extremely well with allergies and COPD for my horse. Good luck!

I've used both as well. I saw better and faster results with ForeResp. I have a bleeder, she was controlled on Lasix but I didn't like how she felt while running on lasix and she struggled with recovering, I put her on ForeRespiratory for 30 days and then switched to ForeAllstar, which is an all around support, and she's now completely off lasix. I use 20cc of ForeRunner Paste and a flair strip. She's breathing so much better, running harder and faster, and recovering so much quicker. I'm now a dealer for ForeFront simply because I believe in their products. Amazing, safe, proven, and affordable.

Was she a bleeder because of allergies?

I will jump in here. I HAVE tried both extensively. I feel the Curost works absolutely better than forefront respiratory. But that might be due to all the ingredients curost has that work together for the whole horse, and not just respiratory. But I do use forerunner paste and other things!

I have a mare with heaves/copd. It was to the point that we could ride but only on her good days and if I wanted her ready to go anytime she needed dex and a long acting steroid shot that my vet perscribed. I did that for 3 years after I bought her till I found an article on here about Cur-OST.

I found Curost on here almost 2 years ago. Used it for 8 months and had two horses that felt great and were off their prescription meds.

In July 2016 some bills came up and i wasn't able to purchase Cur-OST that month. And things went downhill for my COPD mare...but that's another story.

I've used curost on and off for a few months here and there since July 2016 when I first had to give it up due to bills. As a college student who also boards her horses it's just difficult to afford on a long term basis. I can afford it for several months but then something always seems to come up that needs to be paid and curost is the first to go.

I had been using Tumeric(w/ pepper and oil) most of the time when
not using Curost and it does a decent job but just not quite the right thing all by itself for my copd mare. My arthritic gelding however, does fantastic on it--he looks and feels awesome for 24.

I did recently try Forefront for my COPD mare. I started with the ForeResp, and added colostrum for immune support for two weeks and saw some positives so then I started Allstar as I could then get rid of my Tumeric(pepper&oil) and my aloe juice that she was getting. Allstar isn't saving me money per say compared to the ForeResp, colostrum, Tumeric, pepper, oil and aloe but it is sure quick to give one scoop of something on some oats and she is done.. it has been nice at feeding time. It's been about a month and a half. Will reevaluate in another month or so.

Allstar is a joint, digest, resp and immune combo. Curcumin, aloe, papaya, herbs for resp and colostrum are the main components. You are still getting a lot of anti-inflammatory properties.

I think with resp issues just the ForeResp isn't enough. I think most horses with resp issues need immune support. So I would always add the colostrum if looking at forefront products for resp.

I've also talked about doing Tumeric and Curost Immune together but haven't yet tried that. Could be a good combo.

I will always be partial to Cur-OST because I owe it to that company (& Herbie & SmokinGirlie) for bringing a whole new way of thinking to my world. I still stick with a clean diet for both my horses. I look at things in terms of inflammation now and the whole picture rather than specific issues.

One day.. when I'm not a poor college student, Cur-OST will be my program because both of my horses never felt better than they did on those products. I just can't do it right now, so I am trying to find the next best thing and so far I am nothing but impressed with ForeFront for my COPD mare.

I totally agree here. I think Allstar is just as expensive I think as curost?

If you do just total then yes. Although I have a source I get the Allstar for less than retail thanks to a discount code.. My mare though doesn't maintain on just the total support. She really does better with immune or revive added. Which bumps my price up :(

If all she needed was total, that would be my choice but I tried that and it didn't work out in my particular situation. There are a few factors that might have been at play there. I am also dealing with a boarding situation where I don't have ideal forage options for my horses which I think doesn't help.

Was she a bleeder because of allergies?

No, she's a true bleeder. She wasn't an environmental or allergic bleeder.

It says on the foreresp. bag to use one scoop a day. I have to use 1 scoop morning and 1 scoop night. I seen a difference on one scoop but it just wasn't quite enough. I called the company and she told me that I can try two scoops a day that it is all natural and that it is safe on 2 scoops. That is when it was even better I can ride him longer and harder he feels good and he can breathe! and after his runs he can recover quicker. This is what worked for him. I have tried a lot of things and so happy this works for him bc of the price being affordable! and safe product. The company told me that they test their product like it is a drug it gets tested four times in the process and tested after it is in the bag to make sure that product is right. It is just finding what works for your horse and it can be so frustrating! good luck!
