| I hang nets in my stalls, I'm just using the El cheapo ones from TSC but I'm noticing way too much hay falling on the ground and they are kind of wasting it. With winter coming horses will be spending more time inside I'm wanting to get some better nets.. I looked online and there are tons. I'm thinking smaller holes will solve my problem. They can get pretty rough on their nets too so I'd like something durable.. suggestions??? TIA |

| Hay chix
Easy to load! That's my favorite part. We even stuffed them off a round bale this summer by putting the net in a blue barrel and stretching it over the outside and stuffing! So easy!
There's 20% off codes floating around too. |

Location: In my own world | I've used them all! I have 2 hay chic. They are a pain to load IMO but probably slow the horses the most on eating. I have a smart pak slow feeder that is an easy open and load but I can't get as much in as smart chix. I bought a nibble net small square feeder. It's fairly easy to load but my horse can get through about 3/4 bale in 24hrs. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | When I buy hay nets I make darn sure they are extra large and heavy duty, I have 4 that I use every day for the past 13 years and I cant remember the brand of them, but its time to replace them but they have held up so good, but it my fault they are breaking because I tie them a different way and the strands start to break, I run my tie string threw the bottom of the bag and tie it that way so I can get them high off the ground so no body sticks a leg threw them. Yep the Tractor supplys bags suck, Hubby bought one the other day and thank goodness they only had one left, lol..And its hanging on the fence untill I can find somebody to take it home with them, cheap'o junk.. |

Location: Ohio | I have been using the hay chix nets for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love them. I think they are super easy to load and seem really durable. I bought both the full bale and the half bale sizes and the full bale I have put a whole square bale in and tossed in on the ground when I work a long day (14-16 hours) to keep my mare and mini donkey from eating all of their hay in the first 2 hours (which they were doing then standing there with no hay the rest of the day). And the half bale I stuff and hang for my gelding (he has shoes so his gets hung) and everyone seems much happier now and has hay for several more hours. |

Location: mi | I'll be the odd guy out. I just buy the cheap slow feed nets from Big Dee's. They are like $6. easy enough to load I use them every night for my geldings who like to spread hay every where. I usually get a year before they have eatten a hole in them. But for $6 I just stock up. I use them to fill my cart for free shipping when ever I order anything. :) |

Location: Mississippi | Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone else have horses that have "outsmarted" the Hay Chix nets? I have the corner nets hanging in my stalls and 2 of my 3 horses will put their head under the net and push the hay out the top to bypass the slow feeding option. The nets have held up very well and worked great at first but now I am back to dealing with wasted hay all over the stall floor. |

I was worried about my horses doing that when I saw those! No way I could use them |

Yep, these are the ones I have, too. The only thing I've had to replace is the string that cinches the net up. Otherwise, the net itself is strong. |

Location: Northwest | My favorites are still Nibblenets. I also like the mesh ones that Smartpak sells (I use these when I'm slow feeding alfalfa...Nibblenets just make it too hard for horses to get alfalfa out). |

These are the ones I use also, I have hay in front of my racehorses 24/7 and they hold up well, I usually get a year or two out of them. Can't beat them for the price although I have a really easy keeper I am considering buying an ultra slow feed net for. Nice selection of colors also! |

Location: Georgia | In my signature is the 20% off code for the Hay chix nets.. I honestly cant say enough good things about them, They are sooo durable and I see people comment talking about nets they have had for several years and still use on a daily basis.
EDIT: I highly recommend getting the Heavy Duty option when it is available. It is my absolute favorite. Also if you Pm me I have a couple tricks for how to load your net fast and easy.

Ive never had that problem but yes I could imagine a horse outsmarting it. Thats why I really like my Free up feeders. I can still get about 3 flakes of hay in it and there is no way for them to outsmart it. |

Location: North Dakota | I totally recommend Hayburners slow feed hay nets. I have about 5-6 of these and have used them very faithfully for about 4 years. The half bale size holds about 3-4 Flakes of hay and the whole bale size holds an entire square bale. I have yet to fix any tears! Mine are all 1.75 inch squares. |
