Location: Oklahoma | Had a bone scan this past week shows extra bone in the tibia and that is where he is really sore. Has anyone dealt with this? I always seemed to be the one with problems that is not common! I was told by the vet that did the bone scan to do an osphos shot and turn out for a year. Going to my vet Monday to have xrays and have him look at the bone scans. My vet does agree that he needs an osphos shot or a series of them but wont know more til after xrays. Not sure I want to spend the money for osphos that maybe I should just turn out and see what happens. Of course if there was a guarantee that it would fix it or makes it where I can run him Im all for it but of course no guarantees. So has anyone dealt with this before? The bone is in front of the hock but above if that makes sense. The vet that did the bone scan said that injecting the top joint wont help because the bone a little too high, so its not the joint tho that is where he is sore is in the hock area. thanks |
