BARRELHORSE USA - 2017-09-24 4:18 AM ANYONE from Kansas or New Mexico where plans for plants were to be built .. can contact county agents to see if there is anything happening?? HORSE PROCESSING PLANTS CAN RE-OPEN IN THE USA Read carefully so you do not get confused with the HSUS negative rheteric and anti American non sense .. This is one of those YES means NO processing plants and NO means YES TO OPEN HORSE PROCESSING PLANTS .. this is how so many crazy laws get passed by voting YES on these double negative written bills .... which means you were against re-opening the horse processing plants .. THE FAKE HUMANE SOCIETY .. HSUS .. will try again to defund this bill like they did before of not funding USDA meat inspectors for the plants.

I honestly don't see how they can win against not funding the inspectors after they've already failed once. I think it was misunderstood by society as a whole that slaughtering horses was not in fact outlawed: it was the inspectors that were not able to be paid that closed everything down.
I think the notion that horse slaughter was outlawed made everyone look at it as Taboo to slaughter a horse for meat production. When in fact I think that some horses have no where else to go....
Maybe I am mislead.
Either way, I think the fact that the inspectors can now be paid again has opened people's eyes to what really happened and how we can help avoid this happening again.
On a related note:
I am for anything that keeps these horses from going to Mexico.... Anything has to be more humane than Mexico...
In the past I would have railed against this, but my eyes have been opened in the past few years. I cannot bear to think about the horses whose lives end this way, but I certainly agree that no horse deserves Mexico. . . .
