| I posted a thread awhile ago before I bought my horse. I currently have him on ForeFront ForeBasics, as that was what the previous owner was feeding him. Previous owner was riding him maybe 2x a month, if that, and now he's being ridden quite hard 4-5 days a week, and he will be 16 in March. I would really feel more comfortable moving him to a supplement that has more benefits for his joints, and keeping him comfortable. When I originally posted a thread asking what was a good product at a reasonable price, many said ActiFlex Liquid. I was all set on starting that, but then some members have had issues with stomach problems, and that worries me. Big Dee is having a sale on the pelleted version of ActiFlex, an 80 day supply for $39.95. They also have a 240 day supply for $119.95.
Thoughts? I just can't really afford $100/month in a joint supplement.

Location: Jersey Girl | Honestly at that age I would consider injections to be part of his maintanence plan and I wouldn't waste my money on feed thrus. I would be giving him Pentosan or see what your vet would recommend for injectables.

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I would definitly have a check up with your vet first to see if there are any issues as far as injections would go. But other than that, i have my guys on the powder version of the actiflex and they love it! its alfalfa based so they clean it right out of my hand, I paid $50 for a tub and on 2 horses it lasted me just under 60 days. and a refill is only $40 around here so i think its very affordable and worth it. My guys dont have stomach issues but they already get aloe vera juice once a day just to keep things healthy. My older gelding whos 12 used to crack everytime he came out of his stall and he doesnt anymore. My barrel horse feels so amazing from it as well. I tried the liquid and mine just did NOT like it at all. lol
