I'm curious as well. I like the look of them and the high or medium rise seems to be so prevalent in the Caldwell's for sale, but I have never ridden in one. I am not sure if I'd like the mound in front of my crotch! LOL

It definitely takes a minute to get used to! Lol! I'm rehabbing a tendon injury right now and trotting 15 mins/day. I honestly don't notice it anymore. But it was kind of uncomfortable at first!

I tried a high rise, I really liked how it kept down in the saddle. I had one in order and bought a used low rise and felt just as secure in it so changed my other one to a low rise. They can change the rise of the saddle if you don't like the high rise-it is pretty easy.

paturninburnin89 - 2017-09-26 1:26 PM Oh awesome I didn't knkw they could change it...that's awesome. Thank you that's a big help.
They were at a show and I wanted to try a high rise so they changed one for me right then. It is just a matter of adding more padding to make the rise higher.

My Caldwell has just a tiny bit of rise to it. Me I like a flat seat better so I can shif my weight when needed, but the slight rise is good I can still move in it.

This is me running my horse. I love the fact I can still swing my legs where I need to get around the barrel clean. As you can see I'm NOT locked down into position. I can move where I'm not hampering my horse. I really love my Caldwell's.
