I've taken over as the Vendor Director for my local organization and am hoping to revamp our vendor section at our large races. Would love to hear what types/or who you really like having at the big races.

In the past we only have had 2 food carts, 2 tack dealers, one or two supplement outfits, one saddle dealer, a metal artist and two clothing stores. This is at a Large two day race, actually one of the largest futurities in the nation. Seems like I could make it a lot better!

We don't get to go a lot anymore, but I enjoy food (imagine that ), tack vendors, and clothing/jewelry. I'm not much help since that covers what you already have!! I also enjoy looking at trailers at the NCHA Futurity when we go.

At our big big shows they normally put out a vendor form so anyone can get a spot if they want to sell something. I love when L&W comes, i love shopping for bits. lol I also like when dealers that have PHT/BOT or So No More are there. Things that arent at your everyday tack shop. I know to save up extra money when i go to these shows just for the shopping.  Plus it keeps the vendors wanting to come back every year.

Vendors with quality leather items. Reins, headstalls, breast collars, curb straps, off billets, latigos, etc...not the blingy crap. Not all of us what to look like we've been hit by a glitter bomb.

I agree with the liniment...specials on Sore No More, Draw It Out, etc...

Out in Rapid City, there's a Starbucks type coffee place that usually has a stand at events at the fairgrounds event center. They seem like they're always busy!! Their frappes are a nice treat after a run.

Thank you! I had someone else tell me to try and get a coffee stand so I'm going to try and find one!

this. When we went to the futurity it was nice to get coffee or smoothies there since we don't have a full LQ we couldn't make coffee and going to MacDonald's or the gas station wasn't an option every day.

I also like seeing a few different tack or clothing vendors that offer competing items is nice. And not junk...even if it is blingy, I like quality items, not the cheapo auction type stuff.
