Does anyone have any experience using rocker shoes? Vet recommended maybe trying them, as well as adding a wedge to raise the heel. She also suggested shortening the toe.
Thoughts?

There are different concepts to the "rocker" shoe. Rocker rail, rocker bar, rocker toe. So I would ask for more specifics?

I have a mare who is currently shod with a bar shoe that has a rocker toe. So, the shoe has been forged to roll the toe up which helps move back her break over point, due to some borderline navicular symptoms. She also wears a 2 degree wedge pad.

My biggest suggestion...I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH...is have your farrier and vet converse on what they need to do. They have to work together. Because if your horse is having issues you'll need both of them to come up with a game plan. AND ASK QUESTIONS.

Thank you! He is going to need his feet done in a week or two, and my vet is going to call the farrier and chat with him, which is good. They kind of know each other, so that helps.
