I am iso a new helmet for me and one for my son. I currently ride in an ovation schooler and love the fit of it. It is 5 years old and time to replace. My son will be one in December. I would like to get him one for his birthday and get him used to wearing it before we start leading him around on the pony in the Spring. So, where is the best place to buy price wise and what helmets fit good for baby? Suggestions for me fit wise? I want super low profile and cool. It is hot and humid here in the summer. Thanks!

I began wearing the helmet Fallon endorses two years ago and I love the fit for me. However, I am not sure which brands of helmets would best fit and suit your son's needs. Perhaps google "children's riding helmets" study each, and then get on here and ask about the one you think you like. Of course fit will be the most important factor.
Troxel and Ovation make a nice toddler helmet. We had to use a bike helmet (I know, not recommended for riding) because it was the smallest they made. (Infants under 20cm head circumference won't fit in either the Troxel or Ovation.)
Now my son asks for his helmet and that lets me know he would like to ride that day. Like someone else said, good for you.
