Matthew 6:24 NO man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The word translated as " mammon" is likely derived for the Aramaic term " the treasure a person trusts in". Modern translation uses the word "money", but the original meaning helps us apply Jesus's words more widely. When we look around our home, some possessions were earned by hard work and some items were gifts
However they came to us, Jesus reminds us that if we out our trust in these things, they can become our masters and steal away our service to Him. That's why the concept of stewardship is so helpful. We can view any item and ask " how can I use this to serve Jesus?" Walk through life with new eyes, as a steward rather than an owner. Ask Jesus ways you can serve Him . For it is WITh God ALL things ARE possible. Mark 10:27
Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to Yôu Amen
