My new trailer has polylast floors (pourous). I'm uneasy about the idea of no shavings. I LOVE the concept - no dust to inhale?! But I don't know how I feel about horses standing on the floor without the cushion of shavings.

Looking for insight from those of you who have polylast floors in your trailers!

Have it, love it, will never be without.  Mine is double thick and much more consistent cushion than sawdust.  I have Equi-Flex.  Easy to clean.  Never wet and never stinks.  Just scoop out poop and rinse!

Here is a thought for you about shavings....  My brother who used to train race horses, jumped all over me for putting shavings in the trailer.  His thoughts (which I might add made sense) is that you put all of those shavings down in the trailer and they are standing on them, they are not level, so there for your horse is going to ride unlevel in a trailer for how long?  How would you like to stand unlevel for hours and not be able to move around?  He said if I want shavings to put them at the back so they can poop in them, but don't use them for a cushion.... so now, we travel with very few shavings at all in the trailer...
