I recently had a lady contact me about wanting to breed to my male weenie dog. I am all for breeding him, problem is- I don’t breed dogs!! I have no idea how to go about this, nor does she. I figured someone on here might have some experience. Do they bring the female to me? Do I take him to her? How long do I keep them together? I’m clueless! We have bred cow dogs for years, but they are usually dogs we own. Not to mention they are all pen kept and not pets exactly. We just pet them in together a few days! I’m a little out of my league here. Any advice is appreciated, TIA!

Always have the femal brought to you. Keep them both seperated until you know for sure the female is ready to breed. Put them together when the female is in full heat. One and done. Take to vet to confirm and you're good to go. 3 days tops is usually how long you will have to keep her. Owner should know when female is in heat or when she is close.

Thank you!! I’m on the right track then... she called last week and said that her dog would be ready to breed the middle of the week. She is bringing her to me Wednesday.
