How many have you have actually sold eggs and/or embryos out of a mare and how did you price them? mare is 100% proven producer of foals that have competed, but did not compete herself due to injury, was looking to be very talented before injury.Only about 10k in equistat produce earnings , but about 9-10k +more in rodeo earnings that's not in equistat. One foal that may be a back up horse at the nfr this year as a 5yo. Oldest foal in competition home is 8. Another foal has been a multiple winner/placer at Cpra/upra rodeos And finished his first season of rodeo competition in the top 10 of the Cpra standings in tough Texas competition.

Is ET/selling eggs worth it, realistic in your experience?

based on that description I would think you would have a hard time selling any of them.

I have a mare that was a 2 time world champion producer and numerous other offspring that were first division level competitors with futurity earnings......her combined offspring had earnings over $300K.  I had people ask me to price her embryos so I did at $2K and had no takers.

Yup, kinda what I was thinking may be the case.Thank you for sharing your experience. Too many nice horses out there for sale on the ground already. It seems the market is already somewhat flooded with very good genetics for many buyers to want to invest in something like that. But love to hear others opinions of anyone else has any experience with this. I had also had people ask me to price them and just didn't know how this had worked or if it even did work for anyone else.
