| I really like a 2018 Merhow LQ with Slide-out, but don’t have a clue about their reputation. Good, bad and ugly, please. I’d appreciate any info. Thanks! |

Location: Southern Indiana | They are about like a bison, exiss, Lakota. Not great. A friend of ours had one and the wall between the horse compartment and the bathroom developed a big gap where it came apart. |

| I know three people with Merhows - none of them have had any complaints, and they use their trailers every weekend. |

No comparison to a Bison or Exiss. Really, NONE. |

| I really considered one when I saw a nice one years ago at the AQHA world show. I couldn't find much info on them. |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | a local girl around here has had NOTHING but problems with hers. Leaking/water damage, cant get them to honor warranty. She absolutely HATES it and regrets buying. Shes got the whole issue listed on her page for everyone to see. I cant even name everything that shes had problems with. You don't normally see too many people with them, so we stayed away. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I heard of one where the axle somehow broke and it caught fire going down the road.
Another had problems with water leaking in the LQ during rain. |

| I think anything can go wrong with a trailer at anytime. Maybe a part fails or Bill showed up hungover and forgot a bolt or you could've just got a lemon?
With that being said, I also think it matters with how the company and dealer responds to those issues that makes the difference. I bought a brand new Sundowner, was pulling it home, the awning tension spring failed and it flipped out and off the trailer. The dealer was at my house, 4 hours from the dealership, on a SUNDAY to completely replace it at no charge. Sh*t happens.
IMO, from experience, Bison and Exiss are cheaply made. I would put Merhow in a higher class. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Pre aluminum days...Merhows is what Hunter/Jumper people pulled and they were made very well. Sad how companies lose their way and can take a great product and end up making it inferior. |

| Perhaps that happens when the new generation of company execs are making decisions and don’t operate with the same integrity of the people who started the company? |

Location: Missouri | I bought a 2000 Merhow in 2005 and hauled with it till this August. It was a Very Lite, 4H w/LQ, no slide. I traded for a 2017 Exiss and they gave me 20K for the Merhow on trade. I never had any issues till the past few years and some was just age and wear and tear. Developed a roof leak a few years ago, that caused the floor to need replacing. Fixed both those and the only reoccuring issue I ever had was with the Norcold fridge, which didn't have anything to do with the trailer. So I'd say for hauling it 12 years and it was 17 years old, it was a pretty good old trailer. |

Location: Iowa | I have a 2005 Very lite I bought very seldom used when it was 2 yrs old. Had problems from the ramp broke half off the trailer, the horse door sometimes wouldn't close, roof leak AND when I had to have everything pulled out to replace sub floor found out water pump had not been installed or sealed correctly causing a leak on that end. I would never recommend a Merhow. I still have it only because I have so much money invested in fixing it. |

Location: TN | I have a 2017 Merhow 3 horse w/10.5 slide out and love it. I've had it a year, no problems at all. The company is very easy to deal with should you have any questions. |
