Location: Deep South | IMO the Carolina and Shallow Creek bits are awesome everyday, any-use bits for just about everyone, like 99% of the barrel racing population. The Elliot's are valuable to those advanced riders/trainers with a lot more "feel" than your average joe. |

Location: Southern Indiana | Elliot's are just better quality. All of the little details are perfected. There's no sloppy welds, in fact they are seamless, and the mouthpieces have a curve to them. Then like above posted said they have weight. Dave Elliot is big into anotomy and how the bit actually affects the different parts of a horse.
The other brands are good bits but they just don't pay as much attention to detail. I've noticed the twisted wire on the shallow creek bits aren't as tight and neat as a l&w even. All are great bits it just depends on what you and your horse likes. |

Location: Tenn. | If you could ride a horse in each one of these bits I feel like you would notice the difference. Like someone else mentioned, you have to be looking for that "feel"......and there is no better feel than an Elliott in my opinion. I have a slight addiction ;) |

I think anyone with a decent amount of feel would notice the difference. I’ve tried having bits copied and no one ever gets the feel right. |

| I agree Elliott’s have a different “feel”. I sold all of my other bits, and just have Elliott’s now. |
