Location: the land of dust & sticks | Which one do you use and how do you like it?? I haven’t had to buy one in years but have one that needs replacing. Can’t find one exactly like it so I’m looking at new options, thanks! |

Location: USA | I’ve used the PC wool cinch and liked it for a while until it just fell apart on me. Two different ones did that to me. Currently I’m using the felt lined smart cinch and it doesn’t leave sores and it’s held up for a while now. I’m not one to use neoprene. |

| The 5 Star cinch holds up well. I also have been happy with the Tolkat fleece cinch. |

Location: Northwest | Len Brown Never-Tight. It’s a “forever” cinch made of high quality materials. Easy to clean. Works awesome. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I use these, and I also have Classic Equine Neoprene I have used these for years and years and never had a problem, I do have one horse that dont care for the neoprene so he gets the Professional Choice fleece. But these 2 are my choices and been useing them for years and years..I use the roper style but one gelding he gets the straight since hes so shorted backed.

Location: the land of dust & sticks | How do you clean the fleece?? I live in the south so my horses sweat pretty hard 10-11 months out of the year so cleaning would be a concern. Also, do the fleece girth’s hold your saddle in place well? Have a couple horses the saddle will roll on. |

Rinse with garden hose. It doesn't matter what kind of cinch you have you should wash it. |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I love my Smart cinch, never had an issue with them. I prefer the felt as i hate neoprene. I used to use PC wool/fleece lined but it just got too nasty in the summer for me no matter how much i tried to clean it, it always had that funk smell. The smart cinch are super easy to spray off when they need it. I thought about trying the air flex, but ive heard they pinch a lot. |

Same here with the fleece...it got nasty and I just got tired of trying to keep it clean.
I use an AirFlex and really like it. My more sensitive horse definitely likes it more than neoprene. I've had no issues pinching and he would let me know LOL. It's also super easy to clean!
I normally prefer a good quality mohair, but I ride a treeless and didn't feel like my saddle was tight enough. |

Location: Southern Indiana | I was on the mohair wagon for a few years...I liked how light they were and the fact that they stretched. However, one of my horses has gotten really sore in his pectoral muscles where the cinch goes. It took me 2 years to figure out exactly what it was, but since I know now I'm switching everything. I actually switched my mare because the roller buckle pinched her on a trail ride. I have a couple classic equine soft touch cinches and switched to them. I do really like them, but I'd like to try felt or fleece. The tolkat cinches look nice. I'm just not sure about the weaver air flex ones. |

I'm with you- all I used was mohair until I got a really cinchy, fussy mare. The mohair seemed to irritate her- I don't know if it was that her hair would poke through the strands in the winter or what, but I switched her to an air flex and the problem was solved. Everyone has their own reasons for what they like, but the airflex is about all I use on everything now- aside from my ranch saddle, which is still mohair because we ride 10+ hours a day and I like the breathability of the mohair.
Reasons why I like the airflex- easy to clean/sanitize, provides some padding, and with leather billets and latigo, leave adequate room for expansion. The "waffles" in the cinch do provide some air movement, but IMO, not enough for super long, hot, high intensity days. |

I tried a friends last on my one horse and he was a bit broncy but i also changed up bit and saddle as we had a group riding and was short on tack so he got the cutter lol i also think it had something to do with the rear cinch. When i get a chance to ride again im going to get him back in his normal tack and try the air flex, he's the one that will tell me if he likes it or not. My other will just deal with it if he doesnt like it. I like how easy they are to clean though! |

Location: North Dakota | My Shotgun is a little cinchy (not bad) . I tried a lot of different cinches on him and the one he seems to like the best was the shearling cinch from Professionals Choice. It's a bit more work to maintain, but if he likes it, I'll do it. I try to wipe off any excess sweat/moisture with a towel after every ride. Then once or twice a year, I wash it with the garden hose and gentle laundry detergent and let it dry in the sun. While I've had the cinch for 3 years, due to circumstance, we've only used it hard for 1 year and it held up so far, so we'll see.
For Red, I use the Professionals Choice Ventech cinch. Never had a problem with rubs, and lasts through years of use. I also wash it once or twice a year really good. |

| The fleece girth can be cleaned with high pressure garden hose. I never hesitate to put it in my washing machine with a few old towels either |
