Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I love my Double Js. My best friend rides in nothing but shilohs and I like them, but wouldn’t trade mine for them! I have a Pozzi and a Pro and just ordered another Pozzi. I feel like they have a more grounded seat than the Shilohs do. I think quality wise they are pretty equal- it comes down to personal preference! |

| I would love to try a Shiloh, I am just scared of them not fitting. I have went through about 14 saddles. My current saddles - Double J Pro Racer Wide and waiting on my Usher Medium tree to come in. From what I have read and sat in, the Pozzi and Shiloh sit similar. Here are all of the Double J saddles I have tried:
Pozzi- I love the way it rides but none of them fit any of my horses. I tried the standard, wide, and #10. They all popped up in the back but they were super tight in the front. The angles are just not right for my horses. Found myself riding deeper into the turn due to feeling secure. Loved the way I rode in them. I have noticed a lot of people who have Pozzis will post a picture of it on their horse and the back of the saddle is not sitting down flat against the pad and horse.
Pro Racer- I just bought a new one, have never tried one before. It is a wide and fits one horse perfect. So far I like the way it rides. It is not as deep as a Pozzi. They run REALLY big. On the horse that it doesn’t fit- it tips forward terrible. She is very wide in the back but is narrow in the front. Have not ran in this saddle yet.
Lynn McKenzie Special Wide- Hate the way I ride in this saddle. It has a pencil roll and you literally have to lay back to touch the back of the saddle. It feels like you are slightly tipped forward just riding around. Is a LOT wider than the Pozzi and pro wide. The angles are totally different. It did fit my mare earlier in the year but now her back has changed or something and it doesn’t fit anymore :( the saddle was bought for her. I think the saddle is making her sore as she is very agitated when I ride her- swishing her tail, throwing her head down, will not collect. It is for sale if anyone is interested hahah.
Sizing for an idea of how they fit:
Usher: 14.5 and snug
Double J Pro: 14 and have room for maybe 2-3 fingers (probably the biggest fitting saddle I’ve ever rode in)
Double J Pozzi: 14 and one finger room
Lynn McKenzie Special: 14.5 and tight (I think it is because you don’t actually sit in the back of the saddle?)
I actually did get the chance to sit in a Shiloh Contender a while back and a 14” was the perfect size. Hopefully all of this helps lol |

Shiloh has been great to work with my friend to find a saddle that fits her horse. He’s a stallion that’s really broad through the top. Shiloh made some modifications on a tree to fit him and said if it didn’t work they would do a mold and build a tree for him. You won’t get that with double j. My Pozzi is a wide, my pro is a #10 and the one I just ordered is a standard. The wide is the most versatile of the trees I have. My #10 basically fits one horse in my barn. |

Location: USA | Love both of them and currently have a Shiloh Contender and a pozzi. My pozzi keeps me seated on my butt more and is sometimes hard to get out of to hustle. For me, the pozzi is good for a free runner. Love my Shiloh though. To me, they don’t feel similar. The pozzi sits a little deeper, but the contender keeps me on my butt as well. Definitely feel more free in the Contender. It’s perfect to me for a ratey horse where you can easily get out to hustle. |

Location: OK | You might check out the Robbie Phillips, I have a wide and a regular tree, I like the way they set and allow forward movement of your feet. I did have my fenders made a little shorter so they were not bound up when adjusting my stirrups shorter. Price very similar to
Shiloh.

Location: Silver Lake, MN | I love my Shiloh I like the contact I have with them and have used them on both a super setty running and more of a free runner and they feel good both ways. I ride with a lot of leg and like that it doesn't have the bulky feel that some saddles do. I have ridden in a Pozzi as well and I felt too perched up on it. But that was a few years ago. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I'm a Shiloh fan. Great quality for the money and they ride just right for me. I have a Jerri Mann, and a custom one on the Flying M tree with a JM groundseat. Those 2 saddles fit horses very different, but they ride the same. The Flying M one fits my stout big shouldered horse that was pinched by the Contender--it has more rock and flare than the JM tree. |

| I second looking into Robbie Phillips. I ordered one and love it. He is great to talk to and very knowledgeable. Shiloh saddles were Cecil Phillips saddles at one time. Cecil Phillips is Robbies dad. His sister and brother in law own Shiloh. His prices are reasonable and they are not massed produced. |

I think it’s one specific line but I don’t remember the details. Just that I heard it was so and it was confirmed. I’d take one from his shop in a heartbeat tho. |

I have a #10 tree and its for horses that have a dip behind their withers that need more rock to the tree.
The #10 tree fit my mare perfectly, she's kinda of round on top and just has a little wither...it fit her great. I also couldn't believe that I would fit into a 13.5" saddle. It fit great. I bought it so we will see how it goes during a run. Here is the saddle I bought.
