I just wanted to tell Lonely VA Barrelxr that I received my "prize" today, and it means so much! She sent me some of her GORGEOUS Christmas cookies---Lorie, you should be on these Christmas cookie baking shows I've been watching; not only pretty but so very good also. I think they're too pretty to eat, but I just couldn't help myself. . . .I even shared a bite with Sean; just ONE tho!! Things like this are another reason to be thankful for BHW and the special people that hang out here. Merry Christmas and thank you again.

I guess I should put my BHW name on somewhere - right?  Sorry, by the time I get to the cards I'm pooped and my hands are shaking so I usually make those short and sweet and let the cookies do the talking!

GREAT job, Lorie ...... You are much more ambitious than I am .....  I think those of us who make "goodies" (and I ONLY do 5 trays for the neighbors) get more out of it than the recipients....It feels good to make someone's day!  One of my trays this year went to a neighbor who just had his finger amputated and I loved the smile on his face when he got the cookies .....

How awesome is that?! I love this board and the congregation of great people on it! Mom and I make Christmas treats for our neighbors, the feed store, our horse shoer etc. I have issue not eating it all before we put it in the box!! This is why we do it at moms- my husband is too big to fight off!!! Y’all just put me in the Christmas spirit!

I really studied them today, and they are sooo intricate. Lady, you are truly talented. If you get tired of your current job, you just open a bakery and let us BHW folks know when and where!! I just had to tell everyone today at work and also my family about you and how much the little unexpected things mean at this blessed time of year. . . .

I don't want to take the fun out of it!!  I LOVE to bake!  If it was a JOB I might not like it so much . .

Thank you for the compliment!  Tweezers and many new decorations have made a world of difference in the complexity possible.

My grandmother baked for the public---from children's birthday cakes to large, fancy wedding cakes. She always let my cousin draw or write or decorate on the cakes. Me? I was relegated to making the roses that popped out of the molds because I have NO artistic talent at all. And I couldn't even free hand a stick person or write "happy birthday" where you could read it. So I have the utmost respect for what you do. Wow, just wow!!

No - I haven't tried tracking the box. If yours are still in transit then mine probably is too. USPS wouldn't guarantee any time frame since this particular camp is so close to the border and very secure. I'll have to get out receipts tomorrow and give it a try. I only have 46 or so tracking numbers to look at this year!! LOL!

ETA:  I tracked the package and USPS says it is available for pick up, but it also says 21 days for delivery time?  I sent on 12/3 so not sure I trust the available part.
