Hebrews 12:2 Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
In studying the life of Jesus in Gospels, we can discover that much of His day was filled with ordinary tasks: teaching stubborn disciples the same lessons again and again; loving angry enemies day after day; walking along, dusty roads to get to the next town, and then arrive only to greet complaining and hurting people everywhere He turned. It was a life filled with repetition and unexceptional moments. And yet because of one underlying purpose, Jesus's work became extraordinary.. EVERYTHING He did, all the mundane, difficult, and annoying,ordinary tasks, was to bring glory to God John 12:27-28. That was the " joy set before Him" from the very beginning.
Our routine lif was never intended to confine us or define us, but it can refine us, if we let it. When we keep our eyes ON Jesus and DO everything for the SAME joy, TO BRING GLORY TO GOD, every one of our tasks becomes extraordinary too.
Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to Yôu Amen. For it is WITH God ALL things ARE possible
