People who board horses on their property, what kind of insurance do you have other than property insurance? What is the cost per year for additional insurance? Thanks!

I don't carry any per say. I live in TX so I post the equine law that basically says if you own a horse you are on your own. The most I board are 4-6. I'm picky who is out here. I've been boarding since 1998 no contracts and have had very few problem boarders. Rules very simple & I only do full care. I've been very happy & lucky too.

Liability to cover you  - farm family is who i use. I can have boarders but not covered for any training or lessons. There is all different options so you best bet is to just call and see what is offered in your area

Check into Care Custoday and Control insurance.  It covers you if something happens to a boarders horse up to an allowable amount per animal (I believe you choose).
