Long story short... we are a cattle working family and everyone uses dogs. I have retired our two best ones to be yards muts. One is 16 and one is now 19 (astronomical for big, yellow black mouth curs!) earl, my 19 year old has been my ever constant companion for the last 6 years! Granted- age has taken its toll on him, until this week he was in very good health for a boy his age. I’m guessing this cold is taking a heavy toll on him however, because the last few days have been pretty rough. He’s currently in my living room floor covered up with a back on track blanket. I’m clinging to hope that the 60 degree days in this weeks forcast will help his old bones, because I’m far from ready to say goodbye to my boy. It’s been a tough year for my family, we lost my dad, a very close family friend, and two horses... all since last February. I’m prepared to do what has to be done to keep him from suffering- I just really don’t want to think about it yet.

Thank y’all. His appetite is great. He has eaten an entire package of hot dog weenies this morning and about a dozen animal crackers that Brody has hand fed him! He is bright and alert... I’m hoping the BOT helps him today.

I will keep both of you in my prayers. My 80lb rescue hound mix is my WHOLE world. He is almost 9, and has had two ACL surgery's, 2 stomach surgery's, and has arthritis. We have had temps in the -20's to -40's past two weeks, and he has struggled going to the bathroom outside. I have been giving him Springtime Inc Advanced Hip and Joint supplements for a few years, and he will never be without them. They have made him so comfortable with his arthritis. It's an all natural company. I also give him once a week Adequan injections. https://www.springtimeinc.com/product/advanced-hip-and-joint-chewabl...
Just something to keep in mind. Last year I ran out and he was without them for a few days and I could see the difference big time!
The reviews on their website are amazing!

Thank you for this!! I gave him an aspirin this morning, but would rather put him on something natural if it was going to have to be a daily thing! He was barking at the puppy tonight!

Your welcome! I know 110% these supplements work! The nice thing about them is that you can double the dose, or triple the dose, if it's extra cold out, or if he played too hard with another dog, or if he's just stiffer than normal one day you can bump up the dose and it's all natural so you don't have anything to worry about. They are so easy to feed, chewable tablets.

Holy crap!! Best update EVER!!! The back on track and a day of R&R did the trick!! He is back to his old cantankerous self! He’s gone with Ricky to feed the last few days, can come up the stairs to the porch by himself again.... almost like a young dude!!! I’m telling you, he’s the toughest sucker I’ve ever seen! SOOO I think God got his cattle penned this week and decided he didn’t need Earl!! It’s about right- my dad goes to pen God’s cattle and tries to steal MY good dog!! No different than when he was still alive- he loves Earl dog!! He’s just not ready to go there yet!

That's so great to hear he's doing better!!!! Might still be a good idea to start him on a joint supplement..

The only thing earl has penned in the last 6 years is a hot dog weenie!! His job these days is to lay on my feet when I drink my coffee on the porch, and to let very still while Brody crawls all over him and pretends to ride him!!! BUTTTTT he’s very good at both of those assignments and I’m sure glad he will be around a while longer to do it! He feels so good today that he didn’t even want to come inside for a nap! That makes my heart happy!!

Thank all of you so much for the prayers for my old guy!! Few people understand the bond you can have with an animal- y’all get it!!! Earl and I have travelled many a mile together!

Ashley Lynn - 2018-01-11 7:27 AM Holy crap!!
My mom and I both ordered some! She has a 9 year old half border collie half Great Dane... so he’s pretty wobbly too! He weighs 148 lbs, so we really try to take care of his hips
That's awesome!! You will love the results!!!
I ordered some for my old weinnie dog that has some really bad joints, cant wait to get her on this supplement to see if it will help her out.
I absolutely love the Springtime Advanced hip and joint for my almost 9 yo hound mix. It has helped him tremendously and he will never be without it!
I use Springtime Fresh Factors and the results are AMAZING!!

Got my supplements in today and gave the old doggy her first one today, cant wait to see how shes moving around in about 3 weeks

I use the Fresh Factors also, and the Advanced Hip and Joint! Which one did you get? Please update in a few weeks to let us know how your dog is doing on them! I've been using the Advanced Hip and Joint and Fresh Factors consistently for about 6 years!

I have to say the pics of your pup make me smile.  He looks so happy and content.  Love how he is lounging on his bed with his toy in his mouth!

Thank you! He makes me smile all day, every day! He's my best friend. He has to have a toy in his mouth all the time, sleeps with them in his mouth, and when we go for walks, he has to take one every time! And his Temperpedic bed is his second favorite!

Sorry!!! I’ve been running circles the last few days! I start school Monday, so quite naturally I’m beginning to panic! Earl
Is back to his old cantankerous self!! A few days of rest in the house away from the young dogs and he’s back to life! He got quite comfortable being a house dog again... I got Brody out of the bathtub the other night and he was laying IN THE MIDDLE of our king size bed. I would have left him, but Ricky claims he snores too loud! Well isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?!
