This is an old article :) The U of Mn and a few other universities are now reviewing EquiSeq's research into the new PSSM/RER genes and McCue as well as a few others are finally softening to the idea that they wern't the ones to discover them ;) Exciting stuff!

Yes ma'am, you are correct- I didn't bother to look at the date of publication, whoops! I just received the article in my email this morning from Practical Horseman Magazine, read it, enjoyed the information and figured I would pass it along!
